This video hit me so hard, I’ve been saving so many things for “what ifs” but I’m worth putting things in the landfill or just donating them instead of stressing and living in a lack mentality. I’m keeping a single small box of extras I’ll use up (toothpaste, perfume, shampoo, flossers, etc) but that’s it. I deserve my best version and my cleanest space 🥹💖

Americans with so few culture, can’t understand that having is less important that being. We have all the opportunity and items we need (amazon exist also in Italy) but we use old object because they have ah history, because of tradictions and not to consume we adjust and reuse (that’s means to be suitable. we don’t make fiesta, we take time to cure family, to prepare healthy food all things that make us a long living healthy country. In usa people are just customer, we are living human being. Ps cinque terre is a romantic plase for couple why do you american insist coming with small children???

I love your words and I feel them! I’m in my healing phase. I had 3 small umbilical hernias and knew I needed to fix it but …life. I can proudly and bravely say I had the surgery done on Tuesday and I’m recovering. It’s not fun but I’m starting my dream farm and I need my body to be strong and healthy. I love this so much! I’ve been slowing down a lot in the last couple of years and I sometimes feel so silly if I talk about my life with friends. “Yeah, I’m not all that busy anymore. I’m basically doing a lot less.” It feels kinda shameful? I feel the urge to defend myself. That’s a good thing to start working on next. Seeing people rest and enjoy life is so wonderful and encouraging. No need to feel silly about it.

My daily day: I get up at 6.30 in the morning, leave the house at 7.40, start work at 8.00, take a half hour lunch break in the office, come home at 6.00, clean the house, prepare dinner and lunch for the next day, I eat around 7.30/8.00pm, I clean the dishes and the kitchen, I sit on the sofa to watch television at 9/9.30pm, I go to sleep around 11.30pm... what siesta are you talking about???

The older I get the more I realize how much I need to simplify my life. For years I thought that having more and making more money was what I needed to be happy, but in reality, I need the most to have peace of mind and learn how to enjoy the small moments in my life. I started practicing mindfulness a few years ago and it has been life-changing. I love how my days now start with no rush and enjoying every little moment of it.

I know you've mentioned your health issues you had as a child/ teen. Do your parents or you have any advice for staying low stress when your child has a health issue? I feel like im constantly anxious about it.

That's exactly what it is! Finally someone talking about decluttering had the answer to my question! Why is it so hard for me to let go of what i don't need in my space. It's because I'm afraid the best is behind me rather than ahead. My kids are 6, 10, and almost 13. The beautiful wooden toys, the pretty baskets holding those things, the sweet wooden play kitchen, even homeschool munipulatives. I don't want to get rid of them. Yet I don't want to manage the stuff. I want my life/space as simple and clear as possible but can't let go of this kind of stuff. I so miss the days when they were all so small and we napped and read and played and unschooled and lived outside exploring or at the beach just us. I feel like this is little bit of a stuck spot and a brain block in my de-cluttering that I need help with.
